Free English conversation practice and support for newcomers to Toronto and across Canada.

Who’s this for?

• Newcomers to Toronto and Canada
• Beginner, intermediate, or advanced English speakers
• Anyone who wants to make new friends

How It Works

• 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.: Coffee chat, a relaxed time to socialize before we start
• 10:30 a.m.: Group conversation in the main hall, led by our volunteers on a weekly topic
• Small groups of 4–6: Members dive deeper into the topic together with a volunteer facilitator

Becoming an ESL Member

Don’t worry about signing up ahead of time! Just come by any Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and one of our volunteers will help you get started.
On your first visit, you’ll get a name tag and register as a member in person.
From then on, we will send you that week’s topics and reading materials by email, free of charge, to help you prepare for our conversations.
